I am studying the historic and current distribution and status of Merriam's chipmunk in the San Francisco Peninsula. Our research team is analyzing how the distribution of Merriam’s chipmunk has shifted and changed throughout time in the Bay Area, particularly focused on how and why the population at Jasper Ridge became isolated.
